Can you describe the work environment at Baker Tilly?
Jared shared that the work environment in Baker Tilly is best described as collaborative and supportive. The culture is such that juniors are encouraged to speak up and seek advice from their seniors or managers should they have any issues.
Partners play a strong role in cultivating this environment, as they oversee inhouse trainings, and actively encourage us to obtain professional certifications and will send us for external trainings and conferences.
Learning and collaborating with people from varied backgrounds make every engagement feel fresh.
What are the best things about your job?
One of the highlights of Jared's job is the chance to connect with individuals from diverse industries. From retail and construction to food & beverage, healthcare, beauty, transportation, hospitality, and various nonprofit organizations, he has interacted with clients spanning a broad spectrum. Additionally, his role affords him opportunities to travel abroad.
After hours, he relishes his leisure time, seizing the chance to explore foreign countries and cities. With colleagues from overseas offices offering recommendations on sights to see and culinary delights to savor, it's akin to having local guides accompany him on his adventures.
