Responsibilities:

Lead and manage engagements in relation to the provision of Singapore transfer pricing and corporate tax advisory services to clients. The candidate is intended to primarily be a transfer pricing subject matter expert and whose scope of activities will include but not limited to the following:

  • Provide all required support to clients in relation to their tax needs in the area of transfer pricing
  • Develop strong relationships with key contacts at the clients and working closely with the colleagues across the Baker Tilly International Network
  • Provide support in relation to orchestrating marketing and business development collateral
  • Leverage and develop the network’s collaboration and other resource tools
  • Connect with key colleagues across the Baker Tilly Network in relation to identifying targets and mining opportunities
  • Respond in a timely fashion to all requests from Baker Tilly colleagues in the subject matter of transfer pricing
  • All responses should endeavour to find solutions to problems and where the request is complex, map out a plan to deliver on the requirement
  • Working with colleagues across the globe in relation to securing and delivering key tax projects in international tax structuring/transfer pricing

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other business-related field, with a professional qualification recognised by ISCA. Accredited Tax Practitioner (ATP) (Income Tax) or higher, with SIATP, will be an advantage
  • At least 5 years of relevant tax experience preferably with an international accounting firm, with 2 years or more in a review or managerial role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. A working knowledge of a second language may be an advantage. Strong analytical skills and attention to details, with an ability to work within tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated and driven - Given a large proportion of the work will be remote, demonstration of self-motivation and drive to succeed will be vital for the successful candidate.
  • Interest in working with international colleagues - The right candidate should have a keen interest in working with overseas colleagues and enjoy working with different individuals and cultures throughout the world. To be successful, high levels of diplomacy will be important.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - The role will involve working closely with colleagues from across the globe from many different cultures. Therefore, the successful candidate should be able to demonstrate confidence and credibility along with the ability to communicate with senior people. Dealing with contacts from across the globe will involve appreciation of many different cultural nuances and customs.
